Acupuncture is mainly used for pain conditions in the US; however, it can be used for women's health issues, respiratory disease, improved circulation, and most chronic diseases. Most impressively, acupuncture can normalize the stress response as a dysfunctional autonomic nervous system caused by chronic stress will complicate any disease or pain condition.
Hair-fine needles are inserted into acupuncture points. The specific points are nodes of nerves and tiny vessels that send communication throughout the body using piezoelectricity it is theorized.
